The data you entrust to us and how it is used.
Data collected
The quote and support forms collect: name, organisation, country, email, phone (optional), subject, message and, as applicable, the equipment and quantity, or the site, model and serial number. No other data is requested.
Purposes and retention
This data is used to process your request and to contact you, by authorised BITAC teams. It is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and follow up the relationship, then in line with legal obligations.
FAQ chat
The chat answers from a question base written by BITAC, without artificial intelligence. Your messages are not stored on our servers; the history stays in your browser for the duration of the session.
Detected country
In the quote form, the country is preselected from your IP address using a database embedded on our servers. No third-party service is called and the IP address is not kept for this purpose. You can change the country.
Quote selection
The equipment you add to your request is remembered in your browser only, until you submit the form or remove it.
The WhatsApp button opens the app with a pre-filled message (no personal data added by the site). Nothing is sent until you confirm. Exchanges are then governed by WhatsApp’s terms.
Cookies and tracking
No advertising cookies, no audience measurement, no third-party scripts. Only team accounts receive a technical session cookie. The 2024 catalogue archive loads a third-party viewer only if you choose to display it.
